Best Vegetable Dip

A sweet vegetable dip. Use half and freeze half of this large recipe so that it's ready at a moment's notice.
 
Block of cream cheese, softened8 oz.250 g
Dark corn syrup (see Note)1/2 cup125 mL
Granulated sugar1/2 cup125 mL
 
Cooking oil1 cup250 mL
 
White vinegar1/4 cup60 mL
Minced onion flakes1/4 cup60 mL
Lemon juice1 tbsp.15 mL
Dry mustard1 tsp.5 mL
Celery seed1 tsp.5 mL
Salt1/2 tsp.2 mL
Paprika1/4 tsp.1 mL
 
Put cream cheese, corn syrup and sugar into medium bowl. Beat until well combined.

Add cooking oil. Mix.

Add remaining 7 ingredients. Beat until combined. Chill until ready to serve. Makes 3 cups (750 mL).
 
2 tbsp. (30 mL): 156 Calories; 12.8 g Total Fat (6.5 g Mono, 2.9 g Poly, 2.9 g Sat); 11 mg Cholesterol; 11 g Carbohydrate; trace Fibre; 1 g Protein; 86 mg Sodium
 
Note: Dark corn syrup adds a bit more colour than light corn syrup but either can be used.
