Chinese Stir-Fry Vegetables

This wholesome, healthy dish is so easy to make! Fresh garden vegetables are tossed in a sauce that won't overpower your taste buds.
 
Prepared chicken broth1/2 cup125 mL
Cornstarch1 tbsp.15 mL
Soy sauce2 tsp.10 mL
Granulated sugar1 1/2 tsp.7 mL
Salt1 tsp.5 mL
 
Cooking oil2 tbsp.30 mL
Small cauliflower florets3/4 cup175 mL
Small broccoli florets3/4 cup175 mL
Thinly sliced carrot3/4 cup175 mL
Thinly sliced celery1/3 cup75 mL
Fresh pea pods2 1/4 cups550 mL
Sliced fresh white mushrooms1 1/2 cups375 mL
Thinly sliced green onion1/3 cup75 mL
 
Stir broth into cornstarch in small bowl. Add soy sauce, sugar and salt. Stir. Set aside.

Heat wok or large frying pan on medium-high until very hot. Add cooking oil. Add remaining 7 ingredients. Stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes until tender-crisp. Stir broth mixture. Stir into vegetable mixture for about 2 minutes until boiling and thickened. Makes 5 cups (1.25 L). Serves 4.
