Chocolate Liqueur Sauce

Add to hot milk for a warm winter beverage or use as a decadent dessert topping.
 
Whipping cream2 cups500 mL
 
Dark chocolate bars (3 1/2 oz.,44
100 g, each), coarsely
chopped
Hard margarine (or butter)1/2 cup125 mL
Coffee-flavoured liqueur1/3 cup75 mL
(such as Kahlúa)
Dark corn syrup3 tbsp.50 mL
 
Heat whipping cream in heavy medium saucepan on medium until hot and bubbles form around edge. Remove from heat.

Add remaining 4 ingredients. Stir until smooth. Cool. Pour into sterile jars with tight-fitting lids. Store in refrigerator for up to 1 month. Makes about 4 cups (1 L).
