Herbed Cheese Spread

Block of cream cheese, cut up and softened8 oz.250 g
 
Finely chopped fresh parsley3 tbsp.50 mL
Chopped fresh chives3 tbsp.50 mL
Pepper1 tsp.5 mL
 
Sweet (or regular) chili sauce2 tbsp.30 mL
Soy sauce1 tbsp.15 mL
 
Finely chopped fresh parsley, for garnish1 tsp.5 mL
Chopped fresh chives, for garnish1 tsp.5 mL
 
Beat cream cheese in medium bowl until smooth.

Combine parsley, chives and pepper in small cup. Add to cream cheese. Beat well.

Add chili sauce and soy sauce to cream cheese mixture. Beat well. Transfer to serving bowl. Cover. Chill for at least 2 hours to blend flavours.

Garnish with parsley and chives. Makes about 1 1/4 cups (300 mL).
