Shrimp and Asparagus Stir-Fry

Stir broth into cornstarch in small dish until smooth. Add soy sauce and chili paste. Stir. Set aside. Heat wok or large non-stick frying pan on medium-high until very hot. Add canola oil. Add next 3 ingredients. Stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant. Add shrimp and asparagus. Stir cornstarch mixture. Add to shrimp mixture. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until shrimp are pink and curled, asparagus is tender-crisp and sauce is thickened. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Makes 4 1/2 cups (1.1 L). Serves 4. |
