Turkey Feta Pizzas

Turkey Feta Pizzas      "Turkey Feta Pizzas" is available in PDF format print friendly version

Go ultra-thin for this pizza by using a tortilla as a base. Serve as a light meal or slice into wedges for a great starter.
 
Olive (or cooking) oil1 tsp.5 mL
Lean ground turkey1/2 lb. 225 g
Garlic clove, minced11
(or 1/4 tsp., 1 mL, powder)
Dried oregano1/4 tsp.1 mL
Ground cinnamon, just a pinch
Salt1/8 tsp.0.5 mL
Pepper, just a pinch
 
Flour tortillas (9 inch, 22 cm, diameter)22
Tomato sauce1/4 cup60 mL
Small green pepper, cut into thin rings11
Crumbled feta cheese1/2 cup125 mL
 
Preheat oven to 475°F (240°C). Heat olive oil in large frying pan on medium-high. Add next 6 ingredients. Scramble-fry for about 6 minutes until turkey is browned and no longer pink.

Arrange tortillas on greased baking sheet with sides. Spread tomato sauce over each tortilla, almost to edge. Scatter turkey mixture over top. Arrange green pepper over turkey. Sprinkle with cheese. Cook on bottom rack in oven for about 7 minutes until edges are browned. Makes 2 pizzas.
