Two Bean Dip

Two bean, or not two bean? No need to question this one—it's a winner!
Serve with vegetable crackers or pita chips for a casual gathering or southwestern potluck.
 
Can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans),19 oz.540 mL
rinsed and drained
Can of white kidney beans, rinsed19 oz.540 mL
and drained
Lemon juice1/2 cup125 mL
Olive oil1 tbsp.15 mL
Garlic cloves, minced (or 3/4 tsp., 4 mL,33
powder)
Drops of hot pepper sauce44
 
Salt1/2 tsp.2 mL
Chopped fresh parsley (or 3/4 tsp., 1 tbsp.15 mL
4 mL, flakes)
 
Combine first 7 ingredients in large bowl. Process in 2 batches in blender or food processor, scraping down sides if necessary, until smooth. Transfer to medium bowl.

Add parsley. Stir well. Makes about 3 1/2 cups (875 mL).
